Letter: Thank you for investigative reporting

I want to express my appreciation for Ms Aronson’s article about the Snohomish County planning department. My own community, Songaia Condo Assn, experienced the same kinds of disregard in 2016 as the neighbors of the Eastview development are experiencing now. We also attended various hearings and filed appeals, and saw with our own eyes the chummy relationship between the planners and the developer. A letter to the editor around that time complained of “government of the developers, by the developers and for the developers.” Looks like some things haven’t changed.

Thank you very much for establishing a position for investigative reporting. Publishing about in-depth local issues like this one is a uniquely valuable contribution to community life.
