EVERETT — A vehicle vs. pedestrian collision injured four people Friday night in Lynnwood.

At approximately 7:32 p.m. Friday, South County deputies and the Collision Investigation Unit responded to a serious injury collision in the 1400 block of 164th Street Southwest, according to a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the driver of a minivan had a possible medical emergency while driving east, left the roadway, struck two pedestrians and collided with a tree, the release said.

The pedestrians were a 68-year-old man who was seriously injured and a 60-year-old woman who received life-threatening injuries, the release said. The minivan’s occupants, a male driver and a female passenger, also had serious injuries.

First responders transported the woman and passenger to Harborview Medical Center and the man and driver to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Detectives closed the roadway for several hours to process the scene, the release said. This remains an active investigation.
