Josh Caron hit a home run for the fourth time in five games, the latest a go-ahead, three-run shot for the Everett AquaSox in a 7-4 win against the Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium on Thursday.

The 22-year-old catcher leads the Northwest League with 18 home runs, and he gave Everett (45-39 overall, 12-6 second-half) a 3-2 lead in the top of the third inning after infielder Carter Dorighi and outfielder Jonny Farmelo started the inning with back-to-back singles. Outfielder Carlos Jimenez pushed the lead to 4-2 with an RBI single later in the inning, and the AquaSox scored three more runs over the next four innings to build up a 7-2 lead before Vancouver (35-49, 8-10) scored two runs in the ninth.

Everett starter Chase Centala allowed four hits and one earned run over 4 2/3 innings, and Christian Little took over for 2 1/3 innings of relief, allowing just one hit and striking out two batters. Caron finished 2-for-4 with four RBI to lead the offense.

The Canadians took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second when designated hitter Edward Duran hit an RBI double, then scored when catcher Alex Stone reached on a fielding error by AquaSox shortstop Felnin Celesten.

After Everett surged ahead to take a 4-2 lead in the third inning, Caron padded the lead to 5-2 with an RBI single in the top of the fourth. Centala pitched a 1-2-3 fourth inning, and designated hitter Matthew Ellis and Celesten each hit a solo home run to push it to 7-2. Ellis led off the fifth with his ninth homer of the season, and Celesten opened the seventh with his 13th of the year.

Little faced the minimum six batters in the sixth and seventh innings, and Jack White struck out two in a clean eighth inning to set up Casey Hintz in the ninth. Vancouver infielder Tucker Toman led off the bottom of the ninth with a single, and Stone scored them both with a two-out, two-run homer to center. Hintz induced a game-ending groundout from outfielder Mathieu Vallee in the next at-bat to secure the 7-4 win.

The AquaSox have won two straight, and they will face the Canadians again at 1:05 p.m. PT on Friday.
