Entry-level 2026 Audi Q3 delivers luxury at a value price

Audi’s Q3, its compact, luxury, entry-level SUV, has undergone a complete transformation for the 2026 model year that sets a new benchmark for best-in-class performance and increased luxury levels of tech and refinement.
Now in its third-generation, Audi improves its best-selling vehicle with the addition of greater presence, performance, and class-above premium content. Highlights include larger, redesigned, bolder exterior styling, state-of-the-art digital cabin, and an improved 0-60 miles per hour acceleration time of 5.5 seconds.
Audi streamlines its lineup to a single, well-equipped base trim: the S Line Quattro. Rather than the tradition hierarchical trim ladders, customization is handled through standalone options and core packages.
My tester came with a 20-inch wheel package ($1,800), technology package ($1,400), driver assistance package ($1,250), infotainment package ($1,000), and black optic package ($750) all increasing the trim’s $43,700 base price.
Powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine paired with a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission with standard quattro all-wheel drive, the Q3 delivers 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. It is rated at 29 miles per gallon down-the-highway by the EPA. In addition, the Q3 has a towing capacity of up to 1,500 pounds and comes pre-wired for a trailer hitch.
Audi Drive Select allows the driver to choose between Balanced, Comort, Dynamic and Individual modes to optimize everyday driving between comfort ad responsiveness. I preferred “Dynamic” which sharpened throttle response, held gears longer, and weighted the steering wheel for a sportier feel.
New exterior highlights include unique gray grill textures and sporty lower fascias, dark exterior trim accents with illuminated Audi rings logo front and back, and refreshed alloy wheel choices with scaling up to 20-inches. Front LED headlights and rear OLED tail lamps have also been tweaked.
Also, for the first time in the model line, Q3 comes standard with dual-pane acoustic glass for the front side windows, which helps reduce road and wind noise, particularly at higher speeds.
Inside, Q3 integrates the now-familiar Audi Digital Stage MMI concept found in models a class-above. The 11.9-inch instrument cluster and 12.8-inch MMI touch display also debut a new UX for the first time, as well as the return of maps to the virtual cockpit.
Creature comforts include a panoramic sunroof, navigation system, Smartphone interface and wireless charging pad, leather seating surfaces, three-zone climate control, SONOS sound system, natural wood inlays, and shift paddles for faux manual shifting.
Demonstrating the practicality of the all-new Q3, the second-row seats slide fore and aft, and recline. When the seats are folded flat, Q3 is ready for all of life’s chores, delivering almost 50 Cu. Ft. of storage space. My golf clubs fit nicely with just the 40 of the split 60/40 second-row seats folded flat.
Completing the Q3 is an advanced driver assistance package highlighted by adaptive cruise assist, park assist plus, top-view camera, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keeping warning, front and rear cross-traffic alert with accident avoidance, and a driver attention monitor.
Taken in total, Q3 delivers above and beyond expectations of a luxury, compact SUV with a price tag in the vicinity of mid $40k’s. A test drive is in order to experience the Q3 for yourself and your family.
