SHORELINE — Four minutes into overtime, Mount Vernon’s Humberto Garza scored to complete his hat trick and end Glacier Peak’s season in the loser-out, 3A District tournament game. David Linney scored the tying goal in the 79th minute on an assist from Branson Corwin, who received the ball on a forward pass from midfield by right back Matt Johnston. Linney finished with two goals, also scoring the game’s opening goal on a Corwin assist.
