Everett is the only location in Snohomish County where tax returns can be mailed until midnight on the tax filing deadline. This year, that’s Tuesday.

The IRS has extended the filing deadline to April 17.

Tax forms may be deposited in collection boxes until midnight at the Everett Mail Processing Facility, 8120 Hardeson Road.

This is the same facility the U.S. Postal Service announced it plans to close later this year.

Recycle and shred: A free electronics recycling and document shredding event is planned for Saturday at the south parking lot of the U.S. Postal Office at 3102 Hoyt Ave., Everett.

Items that can recycled include computers, monitors, televisions and laptops.

There is a limit of three computer boxes or four grocery bags per car.

Other electronics are accepted for a small fee.

For questions, contact E-Waste LLC at www.e-wastes.com or 425-239-4118.
