EDMONDS — It was a good night for Edmonds-Woodway.
Everybody played and everybody scored.
All 15 players on the roster for Edmonds-Woodway scored in the Warriors’ 59-39 boys basketball victory over Lynnwood on Wednesday night.
Josh Jordan led Edmonds-Woodway with 8 points, and Grant Pattison and Zach Berg each chipped in with 7 points. Edmonds-Woodway jumped out to an 18-1 lead after the first quarter behind a crisp offense and superior defense. “Our defensive intensity was really good to start the game,” Edmonds-Woodway head coach Todd Rubin said. “We did a good job of sharing the ball, making good cuts to the basket and finishing.”
The game was much closer the rest of the way, but Lynnwood could never catch up from the tough start. “Unfortunately the success of the first quarter didn’t carry over for us,” Rubin said. “It’s our first game so we’ll work on it. We were able to get a lot of guys in the game and we did a good job of competing and being aggressive”
The win was a nonleague victory for Edmonds-Woodway.
