BOTHELL — Lynnwood found itself behind by a large margin early and, despite a strong rally, couldn’t come back as Shorecrest picked up its first win of the season in the Class 3A game. The Scots, who beat the Royals three of four times last season, jumped to a 26-3 lead and held on after Lynnwood went to an aggressive press to get within two with about five minutes to go. Junior Shannon Schacle made four 3-pointers and scored 24 points, India Matheson scored 18 and Brianne Lasconia scored 15 for Shorecrest. Mokun Fajemisin scored 15 points, Grace Douglas scored 13 and Jasmin Edwards scored 11 for Lynnwood.
