My pet went to Disney World: Walt Disney World later this month will open Best Friends Pet Resort, a luxury facility with upscale kennels with patios, flat-screen TVs and a water park for 270 dogs, 30 cats and assorted other animals .

But at $76 a night for a 226-square-foot luxury pet suite, you’re going to have to break it gently to the kids as to why they’re staying home and Buster’s going to Disney World.

Institute of Stuff We Already Knew: Nielsen Online, in its report “What Americans Do Online,” says that Americans spend more time playing games online, about four hours a month, than they do reading e-mail (Page A6).

And half of the time spent on e-mails is taken up deleting those that read “LOL! ROTFLMAO! U gotta see this awesome video of this krazy kitteh!!! OMG! LOL!”

The Billionaires Club: Billionaires Bill Gates and Warren Buffett say they are seeing success in their campaign to convince other billionaires to donate most of their fortunes to charity. Already, 40 wealthy families have pledged to donate at least half their wealth (Page A6).

Many are making the pledge out of a feeling of altruism, but Gates and Buffett also have promised those making the pledge their choice of a tote bag or a coffee mug.
