Funny money

All about the Benjamins: The Federal Reserve is preparing to issue its redesigned $100 bill, with new security features to fight counterfeiting, in February. To introduce the new bill, people are being encouraged to go to a government website, www.newmoney.gov, where they can virtually manipulate the Benjamin to observe the bill’s color-shifting ink and watermark features.
If your wallet is anything like The Buzz’s, the website is probably the closest you’ll get to holding a real $100 bill.
Pack your bags: The travel industry is hoping to see renewed interest in far-away places following the release of the new Julia Roberts movie, “Eat Pray Love,” about a woman who travels to exotic countries on the rebound from failed romance. One agency is booking its “Eat Pray Love” adventure to India for $19,795.
On a budget? Then opt for the $10 “Scarf Sit Scratch” tour, a McDonald’s voucher and a bus pass to exotic Lynnwood.
Pack a box: The celebrated walk-out by former Jet Blue flight attendant Steven Slater has been cause for many to daydream of dramatic exits from their jobs.
Maybe rather than re-creating “Eat Pray Love,” travel agents should offer the “Grab Two Beers and Deploy the Emergency Slide” adventure.
