Prep volleyball: Mountlake Terrace 3, Shorecrest 2

SHORELINE — Mountlake Terrace won the Wesco 3A match by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 26-224, 15-25 and 15-7 to earn a trip to the district playoffs. The Hawks (2-8 league, 4-10 overall) earned the third and final district berth out of the Wesco 3A South Division. Leading the way for Shorecrest (2-8, 2-10) were three seniors who each exceeded 15 kills in their final match as Scots. Emily Corona had 16 kills and 17 digs, Elisa Ahern had 15 kills and four blocks and Marina Stoermer had 17 kills and 16 digs.
