Can we uninvent them? In this day in 1901, the first person went over Niagara Falls in a barrel. Also on this day, in 1939, nylons were sold commercially for the first time.
It seems this is a day for misguided ventures. At least the person going over Niagara only squeezed herself into something tight and uncomfortable — and didn’t lead millions of other women into the same fate.
A pig’s life: Near Darrington, a few devoted souls have jumped into the delectable world of artisan goat cheese. Their idyllic spread sounds like a dream with goats, chickens and two pigs.
