Mukilteo motorcyclist found dead near his home

MUKILTEO — Mukilteo police are investigating the early morning death Sunday of a motorcyclist.

A police officer found the man, 31, around 2 a.m. in the 5300 block of 88th Street SW, Mukilteo police Cmdr. Chuck Macklin said.

The man was in a ditch and his motorcycle was nearby, Macklin said. The man who died had a home near the accident scene

Lynnwood police traffic detectives are helping with the investigation.

The Snohomish County medical examiner was expected to conduct an autopsy.

The man’s identity was not immediately released.
