Everett: Discuss trails for the Reiter foothills

The Reiter Foothills Focus Group will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss a new nonmotorized trail system.

The trails — for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking — will be on about 1,000 acres of land north of Gold Bar. The state Department of Natural Resources hopes to gather input on a concept map during the meeting.

The nonmotorized trails are separate from a system being created for off-road vehicle users. The motorized trails are not up for discussion at this week’s meeting.

The focus group will gather in Public Meeting Room No. 2 at the Snohomish County Administration Offices, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
