Everett: Weigh in on the sale of antiques
The Planning Commission plans a public hearing on a proposal that would allow the sale of antiques and other secondhand merchandise along parts of Hewitt Avenue downtown. The hearing is 6:30 p.m. July 20 at 2930 Wetmore Ave., Suite 8C.
Written comments may be submitted to the Planning Commission before the hearing date.

Lake Stevens: New roundabout fully open
All side streets at the new roundabout at Vernon Road and Lundeen Parkway are open and all construction work is finished.
The city of Lake Stevens built the $1.6 million roundabout this spring to improve safety and access at the busy intersection. The project was financed partly with federal economic stimulus funds.
Activation of the street lights at the intersection is the only work that remains, said Lake Stevens Public Works Director Mick Monken.
Mill Creek: 5K race to benefit cancer patients
The Run of the Mill 5K race/walk is Saturday. Packet pick-up begins at 7:30 a.m., with the race starting at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $35 for adults; kids 15 and younger pay their age plus $15. T-shirts can be purchased at the event for $15.
Entry fees benefit Providence Regional Cancer Partnership patients during their cancer treatment. Last year, the event raised $38,000.

Mukilteo: Learn about Isaac Stevens
Isaac Stevens, the first governor of the Washington Territories, is the subject of a free Mukilteo Historical Society talk at 7 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave.
Snohomish: Board to discuss trail extension
The Snohomish Parks Board will hold a meeting July 21 to discuss the extension of the Centennial Trail.
The popular biking path will see its trail head move further south in Snohomish.
Construction is scheduled for 2011.
Locals can help guide the design of that extension by attending a public meeting 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 21 at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth St.
