Jumping through hoops: A SeaWorld Orlando animal trainer who has worked with whales for years and is a parent recently co-wrote a book on raising kids called “Whale Done Parenting.” His basic premise is, as with whales, to give kids praise and attention when they do things correctly.
It also helps if your kids really like herring.
Red light, green light: Work is nearly complete on Lynnwood’s remodeled City Hall. Among the additions is a traffic management center from which city traffic engineers will be able to check video cameras and control the timing of lights at any of the city’s 58 controlled intersections.
So, if you’re impatiently sitting at a Lynnwood intersection waiting for the light to change and get an urge to digitally vent your frustration, remember who’s watching and has a finger on the switch.
