Prep girls basketball: King’s 50, Nooksack Valley 37

YAKIMA — King’s blew open a four-point game with a fourth-quarter outburst on its way to a 50-37 win over Nooksack Valley in a 1A state tournament semifinal Friday.
The Knights (21-5) led the Pioneers (20-10) 27-23 after three quarters, but opened the final period with an 11-2 run and were never threatened again.
Kendall Adams led King’s with 22 points and 14 rebounds, and Anna Parker chipped in 13 points for the Knights.
King’s will play for its second consecutive state title at 9 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Friday night’s late semifinal between Lynden Christian and Granger.
