8-year sentence for Yakima jail death

YAKIMA — A man convicted in the beating death of an inmate in the Yakima County Jail was sentenced Monday to nearly eight years in prison.

KNDO reports Jason Roberts pleaded guilty in January to manslaughter in the 2007 death of Damien Long in the jail.
