Thrill ride at the theater

Now that lots of people have big, beautiful TVs in their homes, movie theaters are upping the ante. Some are adding Imax screens, and others have put in seats that move and vibrate.
If you keep popping quarters into the chair, you can have the best movie night of your life.
Tearjerker: The new Miley Cyrus flick, “The Last Song,” opens today. Robert Horton describes it as Hannah Montana meets 1960s Elvis beach movie.
Not even a vibrating chair could save this one. You’re better off staying home and sitting on the washing machine.
Charge it: Nissan announced its new electric car will cost around $25,000.
The Leaf will go about 100 miles on each charge. It’s named for former WSU quarterback Ryan Leaf, who also couldn’t go more than 100 miles without petering out.
Fired up: Scientists finally got the Large Hadron Collider to work, setting off a huge celebration among science geeks.
Since you’re here to read about it, you know that despite the protests, the collider did not, in fact, open up a black hole and destroy the planet. So if you have teenage kids, you still might have to go to that Miley Cyrus movie.
