Here’s how some of your tax dollars were spent in recent action by elected officials.
Arlington: $249 to Smokey Point Concrete of Arlington for operating supplies; $791 to River Rock Inn of Arlington for hosting the recent one-day City Council retreat.
Everett: $1,583 to AABCO Barricade Co. Inc. of Mukilteo for traffic cones; $269 to Cuz Concrete Products of Arlington for a manhole base; $2,257 to Petersen Bros. Inc. for concrete barriers; $1,528 to Mike’s Affordable Trees of Lake Stevens for tree removal at 605 107th Place SE.
Monroe: $6,296.50 for biosolids hauling to Tenelco Inc. of Lake Stevens; $2,754.36 for fertilizer and grass seed to Wolfkill Feed &Fertilizer of Monroe; $30 for legal blood-alcohol collection to Valley General Hospital of Monroe.
Snohomish County: $505,000 in conservation futures money to Steven and Sandra Lawson of Edmonds for a 1-acre property with a house on Lake Stickney to form part of a county park; $1.3 million in conservation futures money to PRH LLC of Bothell, part of Pacific Ridge Homes of Everett, for a county park on Lake Stickney; $10,375 to a Smith &Wesson sales manager in Kalispell, Mass., to trade 425 aging Glock 22 handguns for an equal number of Smith &Wesson M&P .40-caliber pistols with new holsters for the sheriff’s office.
