Mukilteo Republican to challenge 21st District Rep. Roberts

EVERETT — Republican Ed Borey of Mukilteo will formally launch his campaign for state representative tonight.

Borey is challenging Rep. Mary Helen Roberts, D-Lynnwood, in the 21st Legislative District, which includes the cities of Mukilteo, Edmonds and Lynnwood.

According to his campaign Web site, Borey is the past chairman and chief executive officer of WatchGuard Technologies, a Seattle-based firm that produces software to protect e-mail and online networks against viruses and hackers.

Tonight’s event begins at 7 at Shawn O’Donnell’s Restaurant, 122 128th St. SE, Everett.
