How can you not be aware? If you haven’t marked your calendar yet, Friday is National Hairball Awareness Day. Hairballs, for those who don’t own cats, happen when shedding cats groom themselves, swallow the hair, then hack up a gift of love for their human.
If you think this gives dogs an advantage over cats, consider that canine grooming calls for rolling around in something that smells dead, then bringing that home to their human.
You’re allowed one iPhone call: Authorities in Fremont, Calif., seized computers, cameras and other items from a Gizmodo editor and blogger who posted pictures and details of a prototype Apple iPhone that an Apple engineer had left behind in a bar.
It was the blogger’s rotten luck that the iPhone was already loaded with the latest version of Norton Anti-Finder’s Keepers.
Going, going, gone where no man has gone before: Scripts, costumes and other items from “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry’s personal collection will be auctioned in Las Vegas as a benefit for charity.
Just a word of warning, though: If you win the bid for the communicator that Capt. Kirk left behind in that bar on Rigel 7, expect a visit from Federation authorities.
