…. But someone has to do it: Boeing has flown one of its 787 Dreamliner test jets to a special hangar at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, where it will be exposed to simulated weather conditions and temperature extremes between minus 45 and 115 degrees.

About 100 Boeing employees are also in Florida, where they are being exposed to mostly sunny weather conditions and temperature extremes between 61 and 79 degrees.

  • Try “hard currency”: The Securities and Exchange Commission’s inspector general says 33 probes of senior staffers, those most responsible for ferreting out the fraud that contributed to the recession, found they were surfing porn sites on the Internet while at work.

    In their defense, staffers said they were looking for fraud by using Internet searches for “assets,” “swaps” and “Fannie Mae.”
