Everett: Cat giveaway at animal shelter
The Everett Animal Shelter at 333 Smith Island Road is launching Free Cat Wednesdays starting this Wednesday. Cats 6 months and older will be available for adoption for free. Adoptions include spay and neuter. Those who adopt cats must pay $5 for a microchip and $10 for a pet license.

Lake Stevens: Boat launch closed for event
The city of Lake Stevens boat launch will be closed from noon Thursday through 5 p.m. Sunday for the annual Aquafest Festival.
Boats may be launched during this period at Wyatt Park (Davies Beach) at 10508 Chapel Hill Road on the west side of the lake. Wyatt Park opens at dawn and closes at dusk.

Mukilteo: Cat adoption event
More than 60 adoptable cats and kittens are scheduled to be at the Pawsitive Alliance’s third annual cat adoption event from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at K-9 Digs, 3616 South Road, Suite C1, Mukilteo.
Seven rescue organizations have signed up to bring cats of different shapes, sizes, ages and breeds. The cats can be adopted on-site. Experienced shelter staff and volunteers should be on hand to help match cats with families.
