It’s a good thing: Martha Stewart offers advice on what to do if a bat gets inside your house.
Bats will circle a room looking for a way out, Martha says, so open all doors and windows and wait for it to leave. Though it’s tempting, you should not try and capture the bat so you can gild its wings with gold leaf or save it for a Halloween table centerpiece.

These boots were made for stalking: Neiman Marcus is blaming an editing mistake for a listing on its Web sites that said a women’s boot for sale was trimmed in ocelot fur, an endangered species. It was actually goat fur dyed with spots.
Because it cares about the environment, Neiman Marcus says it will work to save the South American feline by releasing into the wild its herd of goats dyed to look like ocelots.

Survey says: Recent polling shows that a significant number of Americans believe some of the wilder myths about health care reform, including the creation of “death panels.”
For the record, there are no death panels proposed in any of the legislation now in Congress. But the health insurance companies are kicking themselves for not thinking of it sooner.
