Top Pot Doughnuts debuts in Snohomish County

Top Pot Doughnuts, Seattle’s popular coffee and doughnut joint, quietly made its Snohomish County debut last week at the University Book Store in Mill Creek.
This is the sixth location for Top Pot — and the company’s only cafe outside of King County.
Top Pot has been the darling of small business in Seattle since rocketing to doughnut stardom several years ago via Starbucks bakery cases. The company remains small and locally based, but oversees the production of doughnuts for Starbucks stores across the country.
In 2003, the coffee giant’s founder Howard Schultz stopped at Top Pot’s Belltown storefront a few times and decided he just had to have the doughnuts in his cafes. He approached Top Pot’s co-founders after three visits, and the doughnuts were for sale at Starbucks about 15 months later.
You can find hours and directions for the Mill Creek cafe here.
