Front Porch: Vote on river funds

The Stilly-Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force hopes to win $5,000 to support clean water and healthy rivers.
Your vote could help win those funds for the nonprofit organization that works to restore salmon habitat.
River Network is giving away the money, and 15 groups are vying for the award. You can vote at www.rivernetwork.org/forms/vote-5000.
The winners will be chosen based on votes received by 5 p.m. Aug 15.
Blood drive at the circus: A blood drive is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Everett Blood Center, 2703 Oakes Ave. in Everett.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum &Bailey clowns will make an appearance at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Anyone who comes to donate blood will receive a voucher for one free ticket to an Everett circus performance.
