Everett: EvCC hosts showcase for artists
Everett Community College student artists, photographers, graphic and multimedia designers, musicians, and actors will show off their work from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday in EvCC’s Whitehorse Hall, 2000 Tower St.
The arts showcase includes a student art sale, demonstrations, performances and other activities. The public event is free.

Lake Stevens: Help others pay sewer bills
The Lake Stevens Sewer District is inviting ratepayers to help others who may be struggling to pay their sewer bills.
Under the Caring by Sharing program, donation vouchers will be included in bills beginning this month. Anyone who wishes to donate may send the voucher and payment to the Lake Stevens Family Center, which is administering the program for the district. The money will then be applied toward the sewer bills of people who have met eligibility requirements.
Families who believe they might be eligible may apply at the Lake Stevens Family Center, 1803 123rd Drive NE.

Mukilteo: Golf event to aid Fire District 1
Today is the last day that golfers can sign up for the charity golf tournament benefitting the Snohomish County Fire District 1 Foundation.
The tournament is scheduled for June 18 at the Harbour Pointe Golf Club in Mukilteo. The entry fee is $400 for a foursome or $100 for an individual.
Entry includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, dinner and prize drawings. The awards dinner with no-host bar begins at 6:30 p.m. Register at www.firedistrict1.org.

Snohomish: Learn about funeral planning
A program called “Everything you ever wanted to know about a funeral but were afraid to ask” is planned for 6:15 tonight at Java Inn, 1120 First St. in Snohomish. The Bauer Funeral Chapel is providing the information session.
Snohomish Planning Board position open
The city is seeking applicants for a vacancy on the Snohomish Planning Board.
Commissioner Kathleen Lince recently announced her retirement after serving five years.
Applications are available at City Hall, 116 Union Ave., and can be downloaded from the City’s Web site at www.ci.snohomish.wa.us. The application deadline is 4 p.m. June 26.
