Drive honors fallen police officers

Escorted by motor officers from throughout the Puget Sound region, the nationwide Drive to Remember Fallen Officers came through Lynnwood and stopped at the Alderwood mall.

The stop gave the public, fellow officers and other public safety personnel from all around the Puget Sound region a chance to pay tribute to the memories of the officers killed in 2008, whose names are prominently displayed on the hood of the Drive to Remember Fallen Officers vehicle.

The Drive to Remember Fallen Officers is a memorial trek across the United States to raise awareness about officer line-of-duty deaths. The drive is 5,100 miles from Vancouver, B.C., to Washington D.C., where the National Police Memorial Ceremony will be held on May 15.
