Sit down and hang on

Thank you, Mr. Bus Driver: The Herald’s Good Life staff got its hands on a Matchbox bus painted in the familiar red and gray Everett Transit livery and took it for a test drive.

The resemblance between the toy and the real thing is pretty striking, but we were prevented from making a full comparison when a bus driver declined our request to do a loop-de-loop in the real thing.

Teach your parents well: Watching as adults have made a complete mess of our financial system, while at the same time sticking them with the bill, students at Snohomish High School are asking for a state law that would require financial education in high school.

The Buzz urges quick passage. Our taxes are due April 15, and we have a few questions for the kid next door.

Can’t trust anyone: A Bellevue man outwitted burglars he heard in his home by sneaking outside, calling 911, then driving away in the getaway van they had parked in front of his house, keys in the ignition, engine running.

Really. When are criminals going to learn that they can’t leave themselves open to being victimized by crime victims? Lock up your getaway vehicles, and don’t leave valuables out where the owners can see them.
