Test drive a Tesla?

Silent running: The Tesla Roadster costs $109,000, which means that unless you’re a Silicon Valley mogul, the closest you’ll come to driving one of the sleek electric cars is by reading an account of a test drive.
On the road, the Tesla makes almost no noise. Onlookers’ cries of “(bleep) you, rich (bleep)” can be deafening, however.
The NASA manager who green-lighted an Internet poll to name a new module for the international space station might have some ‘splaining to do. TV funnyman Stephen Colbert hijacked the proceedings, and now NASA must decide if the unit really will be named “Colbert.”
Here’s a possible resolution: Call the unit “Colbert,” except for the part that processes human waste, which would be named for CNBC’s Jim Cramer.
From bush league to the major leagues: A pitcher named Chris Jakubauskas has made a strong showing for the Mariners during spring training, and you may see him on the mound this season.
Just a few years ago, he was pitching in the independent leagues, the fringes of professional baseball. How’s this for a promotion at Safeco Field this summer: “Chris Jakubauskas 15-hour Bus Ride Night.”
