Grant to help Cascade Boys &Girls Club

The Everett City Council on Wednesday voted to grant $130,000 in federal Community Development Block Grants to the Boys &Girls Club Cascade Club at 7628 Cascade Drive in Everett.

The money will help pay for grading work and the construction of a retaining wall.

County offices to close for holidays

Snohomish County government offices will be closed on Thursday for Christmas Day. The offices will reopen on Friday. County offices also will be closed on Jan. 1 and will reopen on Jan. 2.

Mill Creek

Basketball clinic offered

A basketball clinic for boys and girls will be offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday and Tuesday by the Mill Creek Parks and Recreation Department. Children in third through sixth grade are welcome.

The clinic is $63 at the door and $55 for if reserved in advance.
