This week’s featured new home is located in the Creekside at Quil Ceda subdivision.

The 2,774-square-foot home has four bedrooms, 2.75 baths, a three-car garage, a guest suite and a large bonus room.

Built by Steven D. Andersen Construction, the Marysville home has a forced air propane furnace, a septic system and city water.

Hand-scraped maple covers the home’s foyer and extends throughout much of the main floor. Formal living and dining rooms are positioned to the immediate right.

Both rooms benefit from a 9-foot ceiling with extra-deep crown molding, frieze carpeting, wood-wrapped windows and craftsman-style, white enamel millwork.

Natural light emanates from two privacy windows and an oversized window in each room.

The dining room’s added touch is an ornate, old-fashioned chandelier with oiled bronze accents, in keeping with other fixtures in the home.

Kitchen features include a center island, slab granite countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash that ascends to the cherry-paneled cabinets. Fern and plant impressions create accent highlights on selected tile.

Other kitchen amenities include drop-down and recessed lighting, and a stainless steel appliance package that includes a built-in wall oven and microwave, a five-burner cooktop and a dishwasher. There’s also a built-in desk with overhead storage.

An informal nook eating area provides a buffer between the kitchen and adjacent rooms. Sliding glass doors open to an oversized, exposed aggregate patio and the back yard. The family room’s focal point is a floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace with a raised hearth and a slate hearth and mantel.

Completing the main floor is a downstairs guest suite that can be used as a home office. It has a three-quarter bath with a single vanity topped with ceramic tile and a mosaic tile backsplash, 12-inch tile flooring, and a walk-in shower with a ceramic tile surround and clear glass enclosure. In the hall are two linen closets.

Wrought iron balusters, a skylight and a large transom window above the foyer highlight the passage upstairs. The master suite includes a sprawling sleeping area and a rectangular window oriented toward the back yard. A five-piece master bath and large, walk-in wardrobe closet complete the package.

Bathroom amenities include a 36-inch double vanity topped with ceramic tile, a full-length vanity mirror, complementary tile flooring, a private toilet room, a walk-in shower with a tile surround and a soaker tub located beneath corner windows. The tub is encased in a ceramic tile surround with metal medallion accents.

The bonus room, which includes a closet with paneled doors, can be used as a bedroom or a media or recreation room. Also upstairs are three additional bedrooms, a full bath and a laundry room.
