This week’s featured new home has four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a daylight basement. The 3,269-square-foot home was built by Eaglewood Homes and sits on a lot that affords views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountain Range, Whidbey Island and the city of Edmonds.

Vitals include two-zone natural gas heating and air conditioning, security and sprinkler systems and pre-wiring for home automation.

The main floor is comprised of formal living and dining rooms, a kitchen with an informal eating area, a home office, a powder room and a master suite.

A staircase to the daylight basement has a wrought iron railing, theater lighting and cherry treads. Once downstairs you’ll find a sprawling family room with a wet bar, three bedrooms, a full bath, a laundry room and access to the completely finished two-car garage.

Dining room amenities include Brazilian cherry flooring that extends throughout much of the main floor, a coffered ceiling with double crown molding, curved track lighting and a large picture window that frames the view.

Living room attributes include a vaulted ceiling augmented by two exposed beams covered with cherry. Cherry paneled walls with shadowbox detailing create a rich, warm feel. A corner gas fireplace with a slab granite border is framed by a formal wood surround. Three large windows allow a panoramic view to the west and north.

The center island design kitchen benefits from slab granite countertops, ceramic tile backsplashes, custom cabinets with crown molding, and indirect and drop-down lighting.

Stainless steel appliances include a six-burner gas cooktop, a side-by-side refrigerator with a bottom-mount freezer, a commercial-grade ceiling vent, a breakfast bar and a walk-in pantry.

The extra-large master suite was designed to showcase the view. Amenities include crown molding, large windows and a built-in fireplace trimmed with custom ceramic tile.

The master bathroom has 18-inch ceramic tile flooring with radiant heat, double vanities with ceramic tile tops that are positioned on separate walls, a jetted soaker tub placed beneath a large window, a skylight, a private toilet and an oversized walk-in shower with floor-to-ceiling tile and two showers heads. Also in the master suite is a large walk-in wardrobe closet with built-in wood organizers.

The family room in the lower level includes a wet bar with a ceramic tile top, built-in cherry cabinets and a third gas fireplace trimmed with a ceramic tile border and a wood surround. A few steps away is a covered deck that provides views of Puget

Sound and the mountains.

Also in the daylight basement are the remaining three bedrooms, which are large, plus a laundry room and the second full bath.
