BROWNS: Cleveland wide receiver Braylon Edwards was limited in practice Friday and listed as questionable for Sunday’s game at Baltimore. Edwards is dealing with an injured shoulder.
CHARGERS: San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson returned to practice in a limited role Friday and is listed as questionable for the Chargers’ game against the New York Jets on Monday night. Tomlinson, who jammed his right big toe in the season-opening loss to Carolina, missed practice the previous two days.
EAGLES: Philadelphia’s two-time Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews is doubtful for the Eagles’ game against Pittsburgh on Sunday because of back spasms. Wide receiver Reggie Brown is expected to play after missing the first two games with a hamstring injury. Brown may not start, but will rotate with other wideouts.
JAGUARS: Jacksonville receiver Jerry Porter likely will miss a third consecutive game Sunday at Indianapolis. Although Porter (hamstring) was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report, coach Jack Del Rio said he doesn’t believe Porter is ready to play.
PACKERS: Green Bay linebacker Nick Barnett said Friday he would appeal the second fine he received in as many weeks from the NFL. Barnett was fined $7,500 earlier this week for a helmet-to-helmet contact on a hit of Detroit quarterback Jon Kitna in the last game. Barnett was fined $7,500 last week for a horse-collar tackle of Minnesota quarterback Tarvaris Jackson in the Packers’ opener Sept. 8.
SAINTS: New Orleans signed Joey Harrington on Friday to back up starter Drew Brees and second-string quarterback Mark Brunell. Harrington, a standout at Oregon, has spent six seasons in the NFL since being drafted third overall by Detroit in 2002.
TITANS: Tennessee wide receiver Justin Gage missed his third consecutive practice with a groin injury on Friday and will be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game with the Houston Texans. Gage was hurt in last Sunday’s 24-7 victory at Cincinnati and has not practiced this week. He did some pre-practice running on Thursday and Friday.
VIKINGS: Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson returned to practice Friday but was limited in his work and remained questionable for Sunday’s game against Carolina because of a hamstring injury.
