SHORELINE — For six innings Saturday night, the Shorecrest baseball team matched Jackson run for run.

Then Danny Oh took over.

Oh hit a leadoff home run in the top of the seventh to break a 4-4 tie, then protected the lead on the mound in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the win and hand visiting Jackson (4-1, 7-1 overall) a 6-4 Wesco South victory.

“He was clutch on in both ways,” Shorecrest coach Allan Bruns said.

Junior James Robbins hit a two-run shot over the left field fence, his third home run of the season, to give Shorecrest an early 2-0 lead.

But Jackson picked up two runs in the second inning to tie and two more in the fourth to take the lead.

Robbins, who came in to pitch in the sixth inning, picked up his first loss of the season. Peter Olson batted 2-for-2 on the night for the Scots.
