Sport has earned good reputation

Regarding the Tuesday letter, “Give children truth about dog race”:

It saddens me that the letter states so much misinformation. There are very good, reliable resources for the sport that are easy to find and access.

I have been an urban dog musher for 25-plus years and the sport of working with dogs of all kinds is alive and well here in Western Washington. The sport has taken huge strides in dog care and professionism. The world is watching the Iditarod and other sled dog racing venues. There are no dark corners anymore.

The message that Laura Daugereau brings is that you can live your dream.

She represented us well and will in the future.
