A four-bedroom, 2.5-bath contemporary two-story in Everett is our featured home this week. It was built in 1996 and is on a 6,970 square-feet lot overlooking Puget Sound. Ownership includes private beach access.
The home’s entry foyer has oak flooring and is open to the second level. To the immediate left is a sunken formal living room with pale neutral sculpted carpeting (used throughout the house), wainscoting, shadowboxing, vaulted cathedral ceiling, crown molding, a bay window facing the street, and a gas fireplace with tile hearth and surround.
A formal dining room is adjacent to the living room and has oak flooring, wainscoting, shadowboxing, crown molding, and a glass double door that opens to a view deck.
Around a corner to the right of the foyer is a half bathroom and a utility room. The bathroom is finished with oak flooring and a single vanity topped with tile; the utility room includes built-in cabinets, a freestanding utility sink, and access to the home’s attached three-car garage.
The kitchen, informal dining area and family room form a great-room at the back of the house, facing the Sound.
Highlights of the kitchen include oak flooring, painted cabinets with laminate countertops, tiled backsplashes extending to the upper cabinets, stainless steel appliances, center island with four-burner gas cooktop, a work station, a pantry and a large view window above the sink.
Features of the family room include crown molding, picture window with water view, and a gas fireplace with tile hearth and surround.
A switchback staircase in the foyer ascends to the second level, which includes an owners’ suite, three bedrooms, a rec room and a full bathroom.
The suite has a double-door entry, crown molding, and tall rectangular windows on two sides including two facing the view. Highlights of the suite’s five-piece bathroom are an elongated double vanity topped with tile, a deep oval soaker tub with tile — positioned beneath a view window — an oversized shower with tile surround, and a walk-in closet.
Two of the remaining bedrooms face the street. Both of them have crown molding a double closet with bifold doors. The third bedroom faces the view and has two picture windows.
The rec room has a home office area and a picture window facing the view.
The home has gas forced-air heat, a central vacuum system and a storage area.
