Six degrees of Barack Obama

Howdy, cuz! Genealogical researchers gazing into the family trees of the three leading presidential candidates have found, among other revelations, that John McCain is a distant cousin of Laura Bush; Hillary Rodham Clinton is a distant cousin of Madonna; and Barack Obama can count at least six presidents as cousins.

Casting doubt on the findings, however, was the news that none of the three is related to Kevin Bacon.

You’re doing fine: Oklahoma City signed a 15-year lease with the Seattle SuperSonics, making its pitch to the NBA that, as Mayor Mick Cornett said, Oklahoma City is now a major-league city. “I think it’s incumbent on us to say why,” Cornett said.
