‘Rise: Blood Hunter’

Opening today without screenings for reviewers is “Rise: Blood Hunter,” from writer-director Sebastian Guiterrez, described as a supernatural thriller in which a female reporter wakes up in a morgue to find herself a member of the undead. She vows revenge against the sect that put her there and hunts them down. Among the interesting names that pop up on the film’s cast list are Lucy Liu, Michael Chiklis, Robert Forster, Cameron Richardson, Marilyn Manson, Nick Lachey and Mako, in his last live-action film. The movie, rated R for strong horror violence and gore, sexuality, nudity, language and brief drug use, opens today at Alderwood Mall, Pacific Place and Woodinville.
