Quite a few stories in the Oklahoma papers today, particularly in the Tulsa World.

Here’s a piece http://www.tulsaworld.com/SportsStory.asp?ID=060906_Sp_B1_Wilso12051 where Sooners offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson calls out star running back Adrian Peterson. Peterson finished with 208 total yards last week but Wilson wasn’t happy with Peterson’s fumble, his work in pass protection and some of his shifty running. Don’t read too much into it. It’s just an assistant coach pushing a star to be even better.

And here’s a column from Dave Sittler http://www.tulsaworld.com/SportsStory.asp?ID=060906_Sp_B1_Stoop17822_0 where he talks about people overreacting to Oklahoma’s close win against Alabama-Birmingham. He makes not of the Rick Neuheisel era late in the column.

From the Daily Oklahoman, here’s a feature on tight end Joe Jon Finley http://newsok.com/article/2842430/?template=sports/ou that talks about Finley’s impact in the first game. The junior had four catches for 79 yards but also had a big block that helped free Peterson for a long touchdown. He’s a big, talented guy that will draw some attention, which will take some attention away from Peterson.
