Prep girls soccer: King’s 4, Connell 0

SHORELINE — The Knights scored all four goals in the first half against the overmatched Eagles to take home third place in the 1A state tournament on Saturday.

Anna Parker and Claire Diede scored in the first eight minutes for King’s (16-3-4), as the Knights limited Connell (14-5) to just one shot in the first half.

Diede added a second goal and Emma Fleming recorded a goal and an assist for the Knights.

Maddie Nielson and Emily Burdett combined on the clean sheet in goal.
