To become a finalist, a student must have an outstanding academic record, be endorsed and recommended by the school principal, have exceptionally high P/SAT and SAT-I scores, and submit a detailed scholarship application which includes a self-descriptive essay as well as a review of participation and leadership in school and community activities.
Spend a magical evening at Kellogg
Kellogg Middle School’s Play Production will host a Magical Medieval Merriment event at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28 in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5 for seniors and students and $8 for adults.
During the performance, the audience will magically be transported to the Great Hall of a 16th century castle, where you will join the Royal Court of King Leopold and Queen Katherine as they are entertained by singers, dancers, jesters, jugglers, minstrels, and a band of misfit story tellers from the “Shire of Sorry.” Castle attendants will serve “wassail,” and various “amazing desserts.”
To reserve seats, e-mail andy.denney@shorelineschools.org or call 206-368-4781.

Ellis and five other inductees were chosen because they have demonstrated excellence in the areas of patient care, leadership, education, public service, nurse advocacy, heroism, patient advocacy and clinical practice, officials said.
