Amazing feat: Was home-schooled into her ninth-grade year and became student body president by her senior year. Has a 3.91 grade point average.
Goals: Hopes to become a lawyer or an English literature instructor at a high school or college. Favorite authors: Jane Austen, Charles de Lint.
Full plate: Has spent much of her childhood in drama and is looking forward to performing in school play, "The Crucible," this month; active in student government and church. Volunteers as a math tutor and a homework helper at Everett family homeless shelter. Also has job at Marysville Cinnabon.
Favorite childhood memories: "My sister and I would spend the late summer and early fall in my woods (near home). I really loved to climb trees. I still do."
Advice to freshmen: Get involved in school activities because it’s a great way to make friends. "I would also tell them to talk to people. I think people are often too scared to ask questions."
Future: Has applied to Bradley University, the University of Washington and Western Washington University.
Quote: "I really like my educational program and being able to know I have some influence on what happens at the school. I’ve made a lot of really, really good friends."
