Let United Nations finish inspections

I have seen the KVI 570 advertisement regarding the war on Iraq several times. It implies that the only way to “support our troops” is to support the war. I strongly disagree with this message.

I recognize that the men and women in our armed forces are serving their country, and doing so at great risk to themselves, their families and their financial futures. I also believe that we need to allow the United Nations time to complete its inspections. Hans Blix reported only recently that the inspection team is receiving the technology to determine if there are underground storage areas, and the night vision technology to monitor night-time activities. This team, with more time, can determine if war is in fact justified.

I do not believe that one supports our troops by sending them to an unjustified war. But I do adamantly support those who donate their time and energies to this country. Please stop confusing the issues of support of our troops and support of war before the United Nations has had time to complete inspections.
