GOP showed true colors with shutdown

Watching my first government shutdown in action, I came away with a disheartening fact:

For all their bluster and drama about American patriotism and loving their country, the GOP and their tea party brethren cared very little about proper governance and American democracy.

After all, what better way to say you hate the opposition than by rigging the game to benefit a shrinking minority?

Congratulations, Republicans. You just made me realize why I can’t stand your party’s method of politics.
