Murphy volleyball team beats South Whidbey to take over second place

LANGLEY — The Archbishop Murphy volleyball team won its sixth straight game after sweeping aside South Whidbey in a Cascade Conference match. McKenna Palmer had 28 assists and Sam Hayward added 14 kills for the Wildcats, who moved out of a tie with the Falcons and into sole possession of second place. Mackenzie Hezel had 14 kills and 16 digs and Meagan Longdon recorded 22 assists and seven digs for South Whidbey.
