Prep softball: Shorecrest 9, Ferndale 3

EVERETT — Amanda Hartley pitched a complete game and went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI for Shorcrest in a 3A District 1 Tournament win. The Scots advanced to the 3rd-place game and defeated Glacier Peak 3-2 to earn a state tournament berth.
