Brooke Pahukoa named Ms. Basketball Washington State

Lake Stevens girls basketball player Brooke Pahukoa was named Ms. Basketball Washington State, an award given to the top girls basketball player in the state, by the Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association this past weekend.

Pahukoa scored 16 points and had two steals to lead Class 4A All-Stars to a 90-41 win over the Class 3A All-Stars at the WSGBCA Senior All-State games on Saturday. Brooke’s sister Brittney Pahukoa scored seven points and five assists and Arlington’s Lindsay Brown had four points and six rebounds in the win.

In 2A, Archbishop Murphy’s Beth Carlson was voted the 2A WSGBCA State Player of the Year and scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds as the Class 2A All-Stars beat the Class 1A All-Stars 59-56. The Class 2B All-Stars beat the Class 1B All-Stars 81-56 in the day’s first game.
