DARRINGTON — A rockslide has closed the Mountain Loop Highway between Darrington and Granite Falls. No one was injured.
The slide was reported about 7 a.m. near Forest Service Road 2095, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
That is east of the Big Four Ice Caves, in the area of Mount Forgotten.
It is unknown how long the road will be closed.
In the summer months, more than 100 cars usually drive the scenic route each day.
